About The Author
Gurhan Demirkan is a self-publishing professional with over 25 years of experience and more than 300 books published. He is the author of the Moons of Rokar series and the voice behind its seasonal audiobooks. He also co-founded Cosmo Publishing Company, where he serves as a partner.
Gurhan Demirkan lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Sedef Demirkan. A lifelong sci fi and fantasy reader since his teens, Gurhan has lost count of how many books he has read. His daughter once joked, “My father doesn’t read books, he reads libraries,” a line that still captures his boundless curiosity and imagination.
As part of a dynamic author duo with Sedef, Gurhan co-authored the children’s series Following Atatürk Through Time, while Sedef serves as the editor of the Moons of Rokar books. Gurhan’s family is also woven into his creative world; the main female characters in Moons of Rokar are inspired by his daughters and his wife, shaping the series with heart, strength, and lived authenticity.
